About iReg
iReg is a search engine for Estonian companies. It puts into one profile what you would normally look up in several places: company details, board members, owners, activities, plus turnover, headcount and taxes by quarter.
What it is for
Use it to check a counterparty before a deal, find a registry code or VAT number for an invoice, gauge a company's size and activity, see which other companies a board member is involved in, or shortlist companies in a given industry and county.
What is inside
- Company profile: registry code, VAT number (KMKR), address, legal form, status, registration date, capital, contacts.
- People: board members and owners, and the companies linked to them.
- Taxes and turnover: EMTA data by quarter: state taxes, labour taxes, turnover and number of employees.
- Search and filters: by name, registry code, VAT number or person; by county, industry, legal form, status, turnover, employees and year founded.
- Statistics: how companies are spread across counties and industries.
Where the data comes from
Everything is taken from open data: e-Äriregister (the Estonian Business Register) and EMTA (the Tax and Customs Board). We process it, tidy it up and show it in three languages: Russian, Estonian and English. More on the Data and updates page.
What the service is not
iReg is not a government registry and is not affiliated with any government body. Data may be incomplete or lag behind the registry, and newer or smaller companies may have no tax data at all. For legally binding extracts and confirmations, use the official portal, ariregister.rik.ee.
About people in the database
Open data contains no personal ID codes, so we cannot tell two people with the same name apart. A matching name does not mean it is the same person; keep that in mind when you check someone.
Found a mistake?
If the data on the site differs from the registry, first check ariregister.rik.ee: the information may have been updated since. If the error is still on our side, write to us and we will look into it. How to do that is on the Data and updates page.
